Sports Massage

Sports massage helps keep you in optimum condition and your muscles loosened and energised. Regular maintenance massage also helps to keep Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) at bay and reduce the risk of injury.

During this 30 or 60 minute treatment I will work on specific muscle groups in order to reduce tension, increase muscle function and increase mobility.

Sports massage is beneficial for anyone, not just elite sports people. Whether you are training for a marathons, attending the odd gym class or just have a busy/physical lifestyle, sports massage is an excellent way to reduce muscle tension, increase sleep function and help with your overall wellbeing.

Hot & Cold Stone Massage

Using heat is an excellent way to relax muscles and reduce tension. Hot Stone Massage also helps to increase blood flow which aids the body’s natural healing process

During this 90 minute treatment I use hot, smooth basalt stones to ease muscle tension to relax the body. It can be used in conjunction with sports massage for a firmer pressure hot stone treatment. Cold stones can also be incorporated for a refreshing facial massage within the treatment. This is excellent for anyone suffering with tight jaw muscles/TMJ and tension headaches.

Please note hot stone massage is not recommended in pregnancy and for those who have have a condition which causes loss of sensation such as diabetes.
